This triplex penthouse apartment was reinvented as an open vertical loft. This complete renovation included an enlarged stair opening at all three floors topped with large windows. The floor platform of the second level was partially raised to achieve an elegant spatial transition and integrate the new sculptural stair case. The existing kitchen, powder and bathrooms were reconfigured. The kitchen now features integrated doors or panels that hide the appliances and cooktop, allowing for an elegant open entertainment space combined with the living room. The red slate slabs of the fireplace wall were handpicked and arranged to form a composed backdrop. The versatile master suite contains ample hidden storage, an office niche, a dressing/sitting area and a custom designed bed. A new third floor guest space opens to a large landscaped terrace with a classic New York view that can be enjoyed form a colorfully lit hot tub. The terrace kitchen and bar assures comfortable outdoor entertaining.
