This project was built for an active family of 6 people. We designed it from the ground up all the way to the accessories.
We created a light airy Beach in The City feeling with soaring ceilings and a light color palette. Each area of the house functions separately as well as together as a whole. The basement playroom and gym and laundry are treated as importantly as the Formal dining room. The rooms are all gracious in size as the Client entertains regularly and hosts charity events.
All of the surfaces are durable and low maintenence.
Each of the two girls rooms on the third floor share a lounge and bath and the boys room have a 2-bedroom suite that can be closed by a simple sliding door for the future as the family ages and the kids bring home their kids for visits.
The kitchen has two large islands that contain extensive storage as well as create a wonderful workspace for events.
The master bedroom suite has cathedral ceiling, a private terrace as well as a his and her office as well as his and her closets.
The second floor laundry supplements the basement. There is also a chute directly to the basement for easy delivery of washables to the main laundry area.
The whole place has flow and circulation with pocket and telescoping doors for flexibiilty as needed.
