Living room
The goal for this project in Tigard was to create a relaxed style, provide continuity and balance and to maximize functionality for the family lifestyle. What was lacking for this young family of four was a comfortable space in which to gather and relax together. The kitchen, casual dining area and large family room comprised an open space. My role was to make that space balanced and beautiful, but casual, functional and comfortable.
A color palette was chosen that included the owner’s new red sectional and two leather chairs. I introduced blue, seafoam and crisp, white materials like warm reclaimed wood, recycled glass and rope for an inviting, coastal mood and style. My client had purchased a beautiful paint that was used as the inspiration for the color palette.
