Hollywood Canyon
This lovely Hollywood Canyon home, set in the foothills of the iconic Hollywood sign, is owned by a celebrity actress most known in Mexico where she is from. She came to me for my use of fun, bright saturated color, which my Australian portfolio offers many examples of, in part due to our crisp white saturated Aussie light which makes bold, vivid color work effortlessly without looking cheap. She wanted me to impart a similar sentiment in her home which spoke to her Mexican roots while combining it with a feminine note and old Hollywood glamor, fitting of her lifestyle. Her project is a great example of high and low, where I carefully selected vintage pieces that were affordable and mixed with other pieces that were more of an investment. This was primarily a decorating project but I did build some walls to inset the fireplace shelving and mirror.
