My 1959 ranch house kitchen, with orangey pine cabinets and vinyl tile flooring, needed a complete remodel. It was dark, inefficient, and had no real eating area. It had no personality. I wanted it opened up, with new cabinets, more storage and work space, a second sink, and an island.
