Mudrooms and laundry rooms are often the hardest working rooms in a home and practical, durable materials must be chosen. Practical meets pretty in this durable and hardworking space. Bead board accents and a black slate floor contrast perfectly and lend visual interest to the space. Easy to use hooks are at the ready for coats and bags. Above the hooks, a narrow shelf is the perfect place to store odds and ends. Overhead, capacious bins hold out of season items. Below, a deep and comfortable bench provides a perfect spot to sit. The bench pad is made of indoor/outdoor fabric so as to repel water, mud, and dirt. Underneath, ample shoe and boot storage is easily accessed. The laundry is just steps away and features large marble countertops for folding, cabinets for more storage and open shelving for display. A mini butler’s pantry provides additional workspace, display and storage. At the far end of the room, a workstation features a large desk top and overhead beadboard cabinets.
