This lovely family of four, plus puppy, needed an update to address increased functionality and design. There were four different floor covers in 1250 sq. ft! We opened up the space between the kitchen & dining room, removed the useless bump outs between living and dining room and the hip wall by the front door… Using one floor covering (wood) as well as using soft cool paint tones and adding LOADS of light all worked together to give the space a wide open feel. This client LOVES the beach, so we brought a little coastal beachy feel into the kitchen with the soft blue walls, the washed wood table and beautiful fabrics. The powder room also got a great lift, making it more functional, easier to clean and much more current. This beautiful family was so close that I needed to make a feature wall in the family room… a ‘photo’ within a ‘photo’… So many little touches… as always, my inspiration comes from the relationship with my client!
