Coastal Cottage
This charming and cozy house was built in the 1930s. It’s just less than 1,000 sq ft with two bedrooms and one bath. I was informed that the potential buyers for this home would most likely either be a couple that was expecting a child soon, or a single person who wanted to own their first piece of real estate. With these facts in mind, I began visualizing a theme for the interior home staging that was suitable for the buyers’ tastes.
The front entry outside of the house was painted a light blue color with white trim, which was reminiscent of a cottage nearr the ocean, something not too far from reality. My staging inventory includes many coastal and sea-themed décor, so I decided to utilize these items to design the property accordingly. Using this seaside motif, it would also give the home an inviting, relaxing, and airy feel. Keeping the house bright with light, beach colors gave it a sense of openness in terms of space which was very important. Continuing with the pattern, I made sure to create a nursery that was both pleasing to the eye and full of joy!
