Blankenship Residence – Kitchen
The Blankenship kitchen, a 1980s split level, was out dated and dysfunctional. They had 3 different wood tones, and a drop ceiling with fluorescent lighting, that did not continue into the eat in nook. The homeowners’ dream was a harlequin patterned floor with a kitchen to complement. We increased the footprint of the cabinetry and created a breakfast bar, giving them more cabinet and counter space, and a functional layout. By increasing the layout, we were able to give them a corner lazy Susan and a pull out trash/recycle drawer. We also removed the drop ceiling and added recessed can lighting throughout the space.
