To meet Amanda is to know her and to recognize that designing runs in her veins. She started fantasizing about remodeling houses as early as childhood, surveying the neighborhoods from her school bus. Amanda has been working as a designer for the past 13 years in Florida and Virginia, but has joined us in Savannah to share her talents. Amanda’s work has been published and several of her personal homes have been on tour. With a strong background in construction, Amanda can assist you with any aspect of your home from the ground up. She’s known for being a great listener and translating her clients’ dream into reality. She has a wonderful way of visualizing your project, and opening your mind to new ideas. She’d say that as far as the rules of design, “There are no rules! Do what you love and love what you do!” Amanda is thrilled to be a part of the Hillmer Design team, and looks forward to tackling every project individually and with a fresh eye. After all, if you ask her, she’d say, “Designing isn’t what I do, it’s who I am.”
