west coast style on the cape

Once they found their dream location on the Cape Cod waterfront, this family hired maven design to create a west coast style beach house as a standout for entertaining and casual summer living. The palette we chose was based largely on simple white but with “moments of color” throughout and intermixed with lots of natural materials. A large watercolor mural was commissioned by maven and painted by a studio in LA – creating the artwork in the Dining Room, as well as on a rounded wall at the top of the stairs. With a heavy focus on entertaining, the house includes a second full-size kitchen on the pool deck floor and a roofdeck bar. Not to short change the children, they are enjoying a whimsical bunkroom and a recreation room right off the pool deck with an oversized outdoor sectional.
