These clients came to us after determining that the current kitchen in their home did not fit their needs for their large family of 7. They were considering all of their options including the selling of their current home due to the inadequacies of the kitchen space. These homeowners were notorious for cooking for their large family and friends and it was important to them to be able to entertain with ease and this was not the kitchen to do that in.

After discussing what we could do for them and their gathering space, they took a chance with us and decided to give their kitchen a 2nd chance and reinvest in their home. With a long “wish list” we were tasked with adding additional storage, more countertop space, adequate lighting, design elements, and most importantly add more seating. Being that the old kitchen was too dark, we added beautiful ambient lighting as well as task lighting, undercabinet lighting and in cabinet lighting. This made a world of difference to the general feel of the space. All new applicances were brought it which included a new wine fridge, built in coffeemaker, stand along fridge and freezer, steam oven, convection oven, additional dishwasher drawer and warming drawer. A small wall was downsized to open up the space and the bar height countertop was removed and leveled out with a much larger countertop. All of this was accomplished with increasing their actual storage space, every inch of this kitchen was maximized for function. A built in bench seating with storage was added to the design of the countertop and cabinetry so we were able to add a larger table that has the option of expanding for when they are entertaining. This created a more flexible design for the family. A complimentary custom hutch to display dishes and hold silverware was designed to look like a piece of furniture to break up the large space. Not to be overlooked was the attached formal dining room where we designed custom storage with glass displays and an additional rack for their wine collection in a complimentary design scheme.
