This new build in the historic Rose Garden of San Jose presented an architectural departure from its neighbors; its clean lines resonate modern in contrast to the neighborhood’s more traditional designs. The interiors of the home were designed to echo the clean lined exterior sentiment and as a backdrop for the client’s significant collection of tribal art. Texture in textiles and materials was infused throughout the palette of rich neutrals, popped with color here and there. Given the client’s adventurous and creative nature, many of the light fixtures throughout the home were designed from ‘found’ objects and crafted by local artisans.
