These clients (who happen to be my parents!) were overdue for a renovation. Their kitchen was original to their 1960s ranch-style home and featured peeling linoleum, sagging cabinets, and a fly-catching tube fluorescent light fixture. After threatening to withhold childcare if I didn’t get cracking on their kitchen renovation, I’m pleased to announce that it’s done and it’s beautiful!
We gutted the kitchen and adjacent laundry room, opened up a doorway, replaced windows and doors in the same location, installed new wood floors, and added new custom cabinets, Ceasarstone counters, and all new lighting (including a fabulous 36? diameter custom wrought-iron chandelier). New furniture and existing treasures were loaded back in and the space feels bigger, brighter, and provides much more storage without having changed the room’s footprint.
