Previously, this dining room was red and dark. They wanted to bring in the light as well as coordinate with the rest of the house. We kept their existing dining room set and china cabinet but added grass cloth wallpaper, a new rug, drapery, lighting, and accessories. Since the client’s design in the home was “Modern Serengeti”, we included elements like a porcupine mirror and crocodile leather to enhance the concept. The metallic crackle treatment done on the ceiling was also designed to add another texture as well as reflect more light.
