Modern Yet Comfortable North Raleigh Residence
When I received the call that my client was moving into Raleigh from their previous home in Franklinton NC I was excited (as always) to see the space. When I walked into their existing kitchen it was brand new. I thought hmm I wonder why they want to renovate? Then I began to understand. The space was dark, very traditional, and lacked character. Not to mention it was very inaccessible for my clients. My clients needed and wanted to create an accesible space so that the lady of the home could maximize the function in the kitchen for her and her wheelchair. They also expressed that they would like to go much more modern than the traditional cherry cabinets that adorned the existing space. As you can see this space ended up being a spectacular modern retreat now adorned with clean and sleek lines. The custom white cabinets and shiny white quartz helped to open the space and make it much more inviting. During the process of a full demolition I reconfigured the space exactly to my clients needs. I also created a bar area for storage for the essentials. The family room was very “cookie cutter” so I added some built ins on either side of the fireplace as they are avid readers. The sectional was custom sized in order to fit the space and to maximize seating for the family.
Hope you enjoy!
