The initial thought was to build a kitchen addition to accommodate the client needs (adding a 1/2 bath and coat closet, updating the work triangle, and upgrading the appliances) and it became a far less expensive renovation of the existing space. The entire wish list was met, including integrating the visual aesthetic of the new cabinetry into the architectural style of the c. 1925 craftsman style brick house.
