I took to re-imagining this cottage with a child-friendly style that layers in some of the southern details we grew up with. I also wanted to add some character to the home. One of my goals was for this home to fit in with the older homes that surround it.

The dining room and entry way were once closed off, dark, and beige. Now, the wall has been opened up to let light poor in and bounce off the crystal chandelier that hangs from the light blue ceiling, contrasting the charcoal wall behind. An indoor/outdoor rug lies under the Louisiana cypress table so that mealtime with young children is worry-free.
