The plan stage is the ideal point to join a project team. It ensures there are no missed opportunities. We met as owner, builder and interior designer while the home was in the framing stage. The owners shared their inspiration images, which were dramatically contemporary and gallery-like. Those cues led to serene, white finishes accented by a trio of fine wood species (dark and light rift oak along with mahogany). Wherever possible, lighting was recessed to allow surfaces to glow, and deeply-toned hot-rolled steel introduced a slightly-industrial modernism.
