My clients were completely stumped by what to do with this room, and I’m not surprised! This tudor style house had many living areas so this large formal living room was left empty for years, save for the large fireplace mirror and paint color, as the homeowners decided just what to do with it. We decided to turn it into a fun adult space that was both warm and slightly formal, perfect for relaxing at the end of the day or a cocktail party.
The crowning glory of this room is the Currey & Co beaded chandelier, not to be outdone by the custom chair in Shumacher’s colorful linen print, Chiang Mai Dragon. Pattern play continues with contrasting fabrics on the front and back of the custom Hickory Chair and balances out the color in the room. The windows are framed out in gold printed fabric, custom window treatments.
