Light and airy colors enhance a remodeled beach condo overlooking the Pacific Ocean

The sad, tired condominium offered a million-dollar view and the promise of peace and tranquility for its busy new owners who live in Portland, Oregon. However, everything needed updating and remodeling before the weekend getaways could become a reality.

The owners had very specific ideas about what their proposed remodel would entail. They wanted an upscale kitchen and bathrooms with a new look, better lighting, and new furnishings, with the spectacular 180-degree view to be the most important element in the entire project. They also requested a color palette that brought the exterior surroundings into their living spaces. Additionally, they asked for an element of lighthearted fun in the project. They wanted to be able to use their collections of seashells, mermaids, and related art as part of the interior design.
