Center City Philadelphia Home Living Space Interior Design

Our clients moved into a home in the Graduate Hospital neighborhood, lured by the proximity to work, and the Center City Philadelphia dining and entertainment scene. The interior is a combination of midcentury modern, modern, and eclectic aesthetics. In the living room, different textures and pops of color create an unexpected combination of luxury and welcoming comfort. The living room is home to one of two turntable sound systems featuring part of the couple’s collection of vinyl albums. The mod brass light fixture above the dining room table is a fun detail reminiscent of school models of the solar system.

On the second level, the den features a custom media cabinet with another turntable; the opposite wall features a gallery wall of personal black-and-white photographs. Beneath the photos, a grey sectional with a chaise doubles as a pull-out bed for guests. The centerpiece of the room is a round custom coffee table with a glass top that shows off the architectural base. The cozy third floor office, with an alcove perfect for a desk and chair, calls for a bit of fun with a geometric animal print area rug. An antique wooden spindle from a local factory is another addition in the couple’s personal art collection and has a place of honor on top of the custom storage chest.

The bi-level roof deck offers a 360 degree view of Philadelphia skyline, with lounge and dining furniture offering the perfect spot for morning coffee or entertaining in the warmer
