Millvale Townhomes
The building is located on a hillside overlooking downtown Millvale and is a block or two from two local breweries, a French bakery, diners, and general store. The local park overlooking the Allegheny River and connected to an extensive bike/walking trail is a short walk away. Access to more nightlife in Lawrenceville is a quick bike, bus, or Uber over the bridge.
The building’s open-plan interior has living room and kitchen/dining on the first floor with two bedrooms and a full bathroom on the second floor. The basement has a finished room which can serve as a home office, game room, or bedroom with access to basement storage/laundry and an additional Pittsburgh toilet and wash tub.
This project was an Architect-Led Design-Build. Where the architect owns and is directly involved in renovating the townhouses. This building has three townhouses with a new front deck and access to the one-way street and parking. The building was originally built right after the Civil war in 1857. The bones of the building were still solid but the rest of the building is fully updated and renovated.
The project was recently featured in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. Check out the article in the link below: https://newsinteractive.post-gazette.com/distinction/2018/homes-real-estate/rising-millvale-hoping-allegheny-riverfront-boom-lifts-all-boats/
