Circa 1800 farmhouse. This room had most of the original bones but had seen better days. The gorgeous dark stained maple flooring had linoleum covering it and the enormous stove unit took up a huge part of the area. The original plaster was kept and repaired where necessary. The kitchen cupboards are handmade by an artisan in the late 1800’s and now have a fresh coat of white which brightens and uplifts the whole space. In lieu of traditional dining chairs, an antique setee and comfortable parsons chairs from Crate and Barrel were utilized. An antique china cabinet works nicely in this space and allows the homeowner to display and enjoy cherished china and glassware which is used often.
