smartDESIGN designed a new master suite and garage addition to a 25-year-old cedar-clad, contemporary house. Set into the slope on a rural lot, the design includes an elevator and a deck with an integrated ramp to allow the homeowners to age in place. The high ceilings and abundant, north-facing windows create a bright, comfortable suite that includes a two-sided fireplace; and the original single garage bay was converted to a beautiful wine cellar and tasting room.
