PAULA + MARTHA created this eclectic vision of a fairytale bedroom fit for a modern princess, featuring a gilded Italian Baroque bed perched against gossamer-veiled window with a antique Danish armoire in the opposite corner. A Jeff Koons balloon puppy hangs above the bed, while a narrow walnut and steel custom writing table is paired with a wrought-iron chair sprouting flower stems. The dreamy blue walls are accented by a work of art by the poet and painter Rene Ricard. A white cotton pique slip-covered “petal” ottoman, fuchsia silk footstool, monogrammed linens and a gilded and enameled vintage chandelier complete the girly fantasy.
