The newly renovated 8,500 sqft 1 South Wing was designed to meet the growing community’s needs by converting a 50-year old medical surgical patient room unit into a state of the art medical oncology unit, sleep lab center, and cardiology clinic. For several years the unit had been used for medical oncology, but with minor alterations the unit struggled with staff inefficiencies and a less than ideal healing environment for the patient. The entire north end of the wing was renovated to hold the hospitals Oncology Clinic. The south end was reconfigured to include the hospital’s Cardiology Clinic and Sleep Center.
