We completed the renovation and design of this apartment in the summer of 2015. The initial goal was to transform the darker elements of the space (floors, wall finishes) and bring the kitchen and bathrooms up to date. We refinished the maple floors to appear lighter, creating a much brighter space throughout. We repainted all walls and cleaned up wiring that needed to disappear. We tore out the outdated kitchen and master bath, redesigning and relocating key elements so that the spaces were more user friendly. In terms of decor, we added color with wallpapers, fabrics and rugs and worked on keeping the vibe eclectic and livable. In addition, we focused on separating spaces within the large open main room – creating an office nook, lounge area and TV watching area that feel unique and can allow for different activities within the same open space. The end result was an updated, colorful space that reflected our clients lifestyle and aesthetic.
