Moving from Santa Monica to downtown Los Angeles, Gensler chose a highly visible site for its new offices. Here, the firm’s values are embodied in a workplace of the future and design lab for clients. The open and flexible workspace focuses around a three-story atrium with an adjacent stair. The collaborative areas, expressed as distinct objects, provide space for various work modes to co-exist. As an inspiration to designers, the office exhibits multiple uses of a variety of materials, furniture, finishes and details. The project earned LEED®-CI Platinum certification, exceeding expectations and creating the ideal showcase for Gensler’s design services.
