My daughter has gone through every phase of bedroom styling a child 0-13 can go through. Now, a young teen, it shouldn’t have been such a shock when she declared she wanted to eliminate the color pink from her room and go with something more simple and sophisticated. Her baby room was in shades of pink camouflage, with light pink velvet drapery and soft pink walls. Her toddler room was fairy themed in glittery shades of pink. At 7 we fancied up her walls a warmer pink and hand-painted a variety of oversized circles in various shades of pink above her headboard. At 10 years old she announced she was over “baby pink” and wanted a blue room. We repainted her walls a very light teal blue color by Sherwin Williams called Blue Horizon and found a stunning hot pink comforter that reversed to a tangerine orange.
