This charming two-bedroom cottage in Palmetto Bluff began as a bright white blank slate—it was just waiting for some energy and color! We wanted to keep the background neutral, so we opted to bring in color through accessories and accent pieces. Several new furniture pieces were added to the existing furniture collection in coastal aqua and blue tones, which helped bring this rental re-design to life. Pops of orange and grass green served to brighten up the bedrooms, while black lighting, counters, and picture frames beautifully contrasted the white walls and anchored the design. The homeowner sourced the black metal fish art from a local artist on Daufuskie Island, and we think they perfectly balance the rest of our selections in the space! The end result is a vacation retreat for our clients that also provides a profitable return via the Montage Hotels Vacation Rental program.
