I took this 80s drab house to a modern fab house. I smoothed the textured walls and replaced all the trim. Ripped out the dated ceramic tile with inlayed bamboo and replaced it with 5″ white oak planks with a custom mixed oil finish. Demolished the hearth and refaced the fireplace surround with 12 x 24 vein cut marble tiles. The same tile is used on the floor in the kitchen and under the built-in bar with natural walnut top. I used the same vein cut marble in 4 x 10 tiles on the powder room wall. The staircase is a custom designed and fabricated metal and glass masterpiece with a white oak custom handrail. I replaced all the doors and hardware as well. All the cabinets in the living room are custom designed. The fan is being replaced in the living room and the furniture phase is in process.
