This house with the interiors of an 80’s built Northern Virginia home had been suffocating in mediocrity. Folens stripped the main floor interior of standard issue trim moldings and dry-walled over a brick hearth. The palette of the rooms (living room, dining, kitchen and family) proceeds from dark to light in keeping with the seasonal or daily use for each. The basement was a blank slate.
