Fist pictures of the project. Photos are a bit premature 🙂 you can still see painters tape at some places :). There is not a lot of accessories yet and the art is not on the walls, it is coming :).
Living room had an oddly located fireplace with the out of scale surround, we fixed that, added horizontal lines to the architectural envelope to create unity, developed new light scheme, new colors and, definitely, new approach to window treatments (hate the generic blinds), and updated furnishings and cabinetry.
Previous kitchen occupied the same footprint, but had much less storage and the island was very non functional. And as with many designs of the 80’s and 90’s it dated fast.
New layout is much more streamlined, simplified and has more presence. Finishes are masculine and look lie they have a history (did not want to use the term old world, but here I am).
