Hired to design Victorian bedroom using vintage chintz floral fabrics from the 1980’s. Sourced a beautiful Scalamandre’ damask chintz mauve fabric to coordinate with the floral prints customer had selected. Project included custom bedding and drapes. Puffy style comforter, pillow shams, dust-ruffle, drapes and hardware. This was a long distance project with the client moving so it was done in 2 segments. We started with the bedding and the second phase was to design the drapes in her new home. We worked together with a local shop to make sure the installer understood the design. We couldn’t ask for a better installer or workroom. The drapes had to have one remake as they were heavy and needed re-inforcement where the pins hung. The role of the designer is to make sure when details need tending to, it gets done in a professional manner with the least amount of stress for the client. Still awaiting final installation as of Jan. 15, 2017. Will be installed before end of the month.
