Trio Design was created when an opportunity fell in to the lap of husband and wife of over 20 years, Bill and Kristi Hinshaw, and they decided to go for it! They were casually told of a home about to hit the market that needed work. Kristi jokingly said they have "always talked of doing something like that." Next thing you know, they have bought it! They partnered with their friend and general contractor, Michael Kaufman (Kaufman Construction, LLC), who had just come back to the States from mission work in South Africa. His wife, Lindsey, is amazing at handling our accounting. Without her, we'd be one big, unorganized mess! Kristi has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and worked as a graphic designer and art director for eight years. She loves creating beautiful spaces and atmospheres. She took time off to be home with their trio of girls as they grew. During that time, she had the opportunity to decorate a new million dollar home as well as serve as a contact for decorating in their local church all the while continuing her creativity through art, specifically portrait drawing and abstract painting. Bill is the data man. He holds a degree in Physics and a masters in Electrical Engineering. While continuing his engineering job, he makes time to study real estate and crunches numbers on potential investment homes. He likes the aspect of taking something worn and bringing new life to it.
