The Luster Kind is a boutique, residential interior design studio rooted in design history with a mission to bring good design to all residents of a community. Based in Los Angeles, TLK is client-based with a focus on relationships and the client experience. Our world today is an influx of fast images, fast fashion, expendable, low quality furnishing and DYI compromises. We streamline the space planning, design, specification and management processes and provide direct access to international trade resources, craftsman and retailers. Our designs incorporate years of A&D experience, trade-only retailers and partners, and an understanding of industry shifts and directions. By removing the focus on trends and alleviating the burden and confusion of furniture sourcing, layouts, specification and purchasing, we create finished, usable designs reflective of our client’s stories and journeys. Our focus is the client experience and our passion is functional, refined design that transcends eras and does not simply adhere to seasonal trends. And we have fun with the process!
