My name is Brigitte King, I'm originally from Germany, now based in NYC and my decorating studio is called Design Frix. With 10 years of experience in decorating apartments and houses in Germany and NYC I find working with smaller spaces to be the most rewarding. I bring my background in art, graphic design, science and my love for the environment to Design Frix and imagine an individual style through both classic and modern elements to create a visual framework that is sophisticated yet subtly unexpected. Through collaboration with my clients I compose a personal aesthetic of elements from their lifestyle, surroundings and possessions. My unique background gives me the ability to intertwine the artistic, intuitive and playful with practical and environmental aspects of a project. While living in a tiny apartment myself I developed a holistic understanding of how to implement affordable interior design for a smaller space while meeting the needs, style and budgets of my clients.
