Sheri Culver Mattiucci’s talents and creations as an Interior Designer are in demand and on display all along the eastern seaboard. Projects include historic and seaside homes in Providence and Newport, beautiful brownstones in Boston, country estates in New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and New Jersey, sleek and elegant penthouses in New York City and fabulous ocean front estates in Miami. At the beginning of her 20 year career, Sheri worked for world renowned Interior Designers, Penny Drue Baird (named Architectural Digest’s Top 100 Interior Designer’s) in NYC, Cindy Rinfret in Greenwich, CT. & served as Senior Interior Designer at Leonards New England where she gained extensive knowledge of Fine Antiques and construction of furniture. Boasting a sterling educational background, Sheri studied at La Sorbonne in Paris, France, The Rhode Island School of Design and is a proud graduate of the University of Rhode Island, holding a bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Merchandising & Design with a Minor in French. Bringing an unparalleled skill to the process, Sheri expertly sees the possibilities of a space, envisions it from top to bottom and then sets forth implementing the design down to the finest detail. Her natural ability to combine color, texture, shape and style create sophisticated, layered interiors that are complex yet uncomplicated. Sheri is able to move with equal dexterity among many different styles, tailoring each to the specific needs and desires of her clients. Sheri is adept in pairing old with new, traditional with contemporary and has an eye for seamlessly blending different styles for a high-end custom look in all price points. Her innate ability to create a visually pleasing and high functioning space is exceptional. With a vast knowledge of textiles, furnishings and resources, Sheri brings the best of the best to her clientele. Providing invaluable service, Sheri guides her clients to their ultimate vision, opening their eyes to ideas they never imagined, and that once installed, find they could never imagine living without. Always going with her instincts, she encourages her clients to do the same. That willingness to take a risk also serves as the inspiration, innovation and imagination that sets Sheri apart from her peers. Sheri strives to create classic interiors that are understated, yet elegant – sophisticated, but always comfortable. “Good bones and interesting architectural elements are always a good start in any project; however, these elements can be added where they lack.” Sheri is known for pairing unique pieces in an unexpected way, finishing each room to tell a story. “The most interesting people I know have many layers to their personality and the same goes for interiors. A combination of the right colors, textures and special collections all add to the definition and atmosphere. Everywhere you look, there is something beautiful, something perhaps not seen before, something wonderful to discover. Art and accessories exhibit an introspective look, exemplifying the time and affection required to pull them together. Additionally, incorporating antiques adds importance and life, especially into a small space. There is something so amazing about an antique piece; where it came from and who owned it. An antique will outlive us and we are lucky to be a part of its journey through history.” Sheri has received numerous industry recognitions for her exquisite work including features in Southern Accents, Southern New England Homes Magazine and New England Home Magazine. She has also been features in the Spectacular Homes of New England coffee table book and was a highlighted guest on the Keno Brother’s PBS series “Find!”
