We founded SWI Vintage in 2012 as an extension of our award-winning interior design firm, Shanahan & Wildermuth Interiors, which we have operated for more than 10 years in Cincinnati, OH in addition to running a luxury home furnishings boutique. SWI Vintage started with a consulting engagement to redesign a women’s lingerie boutique called Knickers with a Hollywood Regency style. We had a challenging time sourcing the appropriate furniture at the quality level we desired. We decided to make our own by finding investment-quality vintage pieces and redesigning them through new paint and fabric treatments. We enjoyed this experience so much that we decided to focus on curating a collection of vintage finds that we redesign to create irresistible pieces with a timeless style. Hollywood Regency and Chinoiserie Chic are just some of the styles we integrate into our collection, as well as current trends. Today, you can find us on the hunt for great vintage pieces at estate sales, and auctions looking for American-made vintage furniture, or working with our artisans on colors and designer fabrics.
