Getting to know each family or customer helps me create a vision representing their preferences and wishes. I pride myself on finding unusual pieces, whether vintage, antique or one of a kind art, that add warmth and character to my clients' homes. My goal is to finish a space that doesn't look like it was ripped from a catalog, rather one that evolved over time. ?As the child and grandchild of artists, I grew up surrounded by color and pattern in the historic suburb of Shaker Heights. After living in Washington DC, Philadelphia, a stint in Europe and Charleston, SC, I returned to my hometown and it continues to inspire me every day. An undergraduate degree in art history was a natural fit and it's no surprise that my unabashed love of color and pattern runs through much of my work. I have great respect for old homes but am not afraid to throw some young energy and edge into their traditional bones! A fantastic team of talented artisans and tradespeople from carpenters to decorative painters to upholsterers support each project transforming homes into inviting and unique havens. In addition to design work, I help my clients take the frustration out of remodeling jobs by managing all the details they often don't want to deal with; choosing lighting, flooring, countertops, hiring and managing subcontractors, pulling permits, and keeping the project on time and on budget.
