Principal Ellen Nystrom credits an undergraduate year in Aix-en-Provence and graduate studies in Copenhagen with igniting her passion for interior design. Inspired by the balance between historic and modern architecture that she observed abroad, Ellen worked towards a balanced education of her own. She holds a degree in Sociology from UC San Diego and a Masters of Interior Architecture from the University of Oregon. Equipped with a strong design foundation, Ellen honed her craft at several notable San Francisco design firms before founding Nystrom Design in 2009.
