Abigail Reames, Principal Interior Designer My design goals and methods are not to make your home what I think it should be, but what you want and need it to be. It should work with you, your family, and your lifestyle. Your home is a collection of memories that is constantly growing. It should be the canvas on which you paint your story, and it should be your favorite place on earth. "SOME THINK A DECORATOR SHOULD CHANGE A HOUSE. I TRY TO GIVE PERMANENCE TO A HOUSE, TO BRING OUT THE EXPERIENCES, THE MEMORIES, THE FEELINGS THAT MAKE IT A HOME." ~ Sister Parish The thrill of design is having the opportunity to work with clients with a vast range of styles, desires, and goals. I love providing unexpected solutions to everyday ergonomic or atmospheric challenges. Encouraging them to think beyond what they have become so used to living with that they can't see past it, and then watching them fall in love with the results. I draw inspiration from traveling and art, to classic, iconic design and minimalist interiors. I love bright, airy rooms just as much as dark, moody spaces. My style tends to be a bit on the masculine side, so anything too bling-y (read: rhinestones) makes me a bit uncomfortable. Animal print is a neutral. Texture and patina galore. Every home needs at least one antique. And I love marble lamps.
