My Work I have always had a love of art and design. I believe intuitive, collaborative interior design can transform your life. My skills as an interior designer lie in figuring out how you need your space to function in a way that makes sense in your life. I excel in creating interior home design for you to live in the way you want to live. Think of me as your personal design coach. While still working in IT at my corporate software product and project management position, I started taking courses in design. I left high tech and completed my Master of Arts Degree in Interior Design in 2006 in Boston, at the New England School of Art and Design/Suffolk University. I am based in Pelham, Massachusetts, and consult throughout New England and New York and started KDZ Designs, LLC in 2009. Pelham is located in the Pioneer Valley, next to Amherst. I love living in Western Massachusetts! My Memberships I’m a member of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA), New England Chapter. In 2012, I became a New England-IFDA board member, focused on membership. In 2013, I became the president-elect of the New England Chapter, and then president in 2014 – 2016. I am currently the immediate past president, focusing on sponsorship. The IFDA is a dynamic organization that connects designers and design-related businesses through education and networking – we have terrific events that bring our members and prospective members together most months in the greater Boston area. Take A Seat is a program of events that we are hosting for the third year, having raised over $30,000 for the Women’s Institute for Housing and Economic Development, in 2015 and 2016. What is Take A Seat? Interior designers, artists, builders, vendors and other members of the design community up-cycle chairs that are auctioned for charities. This year, in 2017, our events for Take A Seat start on March 21, with the announcement of the series of events, followed by a traveling exhibit in May, where all the chairs are displayed at a different showroom every week, in the greater Boston area. The silent auction, which starts in May, culminates in a live auction takes place at our gala on June 1, at the Royale nightclub, in downtown Boston. Join us for 2017’s Take A Seat series of events!!
