Kate Nelson is a Vermont-based interior designer serving all of New England. With a background balancing tradition and innovation, Kate approaches each project as an opportunity to create beautiful, livable spaces for her clients. Her natural proclivity is to put function before form, beginning with an understanding of the ways a space will be used before diving into the colors, finishes and details that bring it to life. Kate’s projects reflect a classic aesthetic that reimagines traditional elements for a modern lifestyle. Whether she’s tackling a whole house design project or providing guidance on a smaller scale, Kate’s warm and open communication style helps to ensure that her clients receive good ideas, advice, and direction whenever they are needed. Before founding her own business, Kate worked for nearly a decade on the design team at Connor Homes, LLC, where she gained a solid grounding in project management and an abiding respect for early American architecture, as well as strong, collaborative relationships with many craftsmen in Vermont and beyond. Kate is an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and resides with her family in picturesque Weybridge, Vermont.
