Susan Halstead, principle of Halstead Studio, offers a range of experiences from the design and project management of large scale renovations, to kitchen and bath design, to the selection of elevator finishes. Prior to formally studying design, Susan and her husband renovated 12 homes in their first 14 years of marriage. Susan has 20+ years of product development and project management in the airline industry. Her business experience positions her to ensure each project is delivered on time and within budget. Susan has spent most of her life in the southeast but has also lived in Colorado and Hawaii and has traveled extensively. Susan has always been passionate about design but practicing interior design is a second career. In preparation, Susan earned a BFA in Interior Design from FIDER-accredited AIU in Atlanta, GA. Susan began practicing in 2004 with Halstead|Wallace Interior Design Inc. in Atlanta, GA. Her primary focus has been residential projects but has also completed the design and execution of lobbies, conference rooms, elevators and executive offices. Susan currently lives in Bellevue, WA with her husband, Paul, their daughter, Hayley, Sophie - an old rescue Poodle, Bella - a senior recue Pekingese and a former feral black cat named Milo. A favorite family pastime is traveling locally discovering the beautiful state of Washington and horseback riding with her daughter. Halstead Studio – Design has the power to transform lives.
