Our design service packages are available for a flat rate. However, we offer hourly design consultations for interior styling, color consultations, home staging, and new home/finish options selection. We shop at retail stores like Room and Board and Target and everywhere in between. And we happily pass our trade discounts on to our clients. Gray Livin' believes in full transparency. We do not receive commissions from selling you furniture. We do not surprise clients with hidden fees or random upcharges. Our aim is to provide a stress-free design experience from start to finish. Meet The Designer Interior Design in Washington DC Washington, DC based interior designer and blogger, Danielle A. Gray is the creative force behind Gray Livin', a home interiors brand dedicated to cool, modern, attainable design. After working in urban planning for several years, Danielle sought new perspective and priorities for her career. With a desire to bridge a gap between her technical background and inner creativity, she decided to pursue studies in interior design at Harrington College of Design in Chicago. While there, she caught the decorating bug and has since worked extensively honing her skills until she felt confident enough to launch her interior design business in 2011. Danielle has over 10 years of experience in project management and budgeting. She has a keen eye for selecting unique statement pieces and she is obsessed with bold colors and mixing patterns. Danielle offers decorating tips and design inspiration on the Gray Livin' Blog and she has accumulated a loyal following on her Instagram and Pinterest accounts. In addition to blogging, Danielle is currently a writer for the Washington Post Apartment Showcase. In 2012, Danielle created a monthly Twitter chat for African American interior designers called #HuesInDesign. She has also made numerous contributions in the area of interior decorating for several online sources including the The DC Ladies and DomiCile Magazine. Recently, she was featured in the Washington Post and Ladies DC.
