Originally from Seattle, Gin showed an early interest in decorating and was greatly influenced by her grandmother who had an extraordinary sense of style. A graduate from the University of Washington, she spent several years working retail for companies such as Nordstrom, Ann Taylor, and Pottery Barn, where she displayed a keen eye and ability to pull together beautiful aesthetics, both in fashion and decor. Gin's decorating and styling skills were further honed by running her own events coordinating business, as well as helping many friends and family members solve decorating dilemmas with their own homes.
