Our Story Gardner & Associates, an allied ASID Member, was established on the Monterey peninsula in 1970 and specializes in interior design. Founded by Jan Gardner and now owned and led by her daughter, Julie, the firm became a harbinger of the Carmel/Monterey style. Our thirty-plus years of design work sets the benchmark for West Coast style as evidenced through our major projects such as the Lodge at Pebble Beach and Quail Lodge, in Carmel Valley, Spanish Bay Resort and The Cypress Inn, Carmel By the Sea. We’ve been able to translate this iconic style developed for our hospitality clients into warm and functional residential designs, as well. The relevance and timelessness of our styling is also reflected in many prominent homes, not only within Pebble Beach, but nationwide. Residential highlights feature quality projects from 1,200 sq ft up to 10,000 sq. ft. Updating individual rooms such as bathrooms, and kitchens are not uncommon, as well.
