FLO is about creating designs while living abundantly present. I believe that the way you live your life impacts the way you design. I conceptualized FLO before my own personal taming; before my spiritual growth there was my rebellious, creative yearning. Now, as a mom, I’m more enlightened, (slightly) tamer, and certainly more creatively inspired. My necessary process turns off and tunes out my everyday to-do list. This is when I create my best work. The FLO experience is a way of living and working with ease, energy, levity, freedom, nature and indulgence. FLO focuses on our tactile senses and our energy of play. That’s the imprint we want to leave on our clients—our FLO energy stamp!-.From a lifestyle perspective, I’m drawn to wild nature, natural beauty, mid-century indoor and outdoor spaces, and the beautiful cultural mash-up that’s inherent to living in California. Those visual and emotional textures pulse through my work. I’m drawn to something tribal or ethnic that has a modern element. I like to play with geometry, strong powerful lines, Aztec shapes and opposites, rough-aged wood and stone with luxe, glorious finishes like gold, Lucite, glass and plush velvet. I love when something is able to look raw and created, rough and polished at the same time.I follow fashion and lifestyle trends, and I interpret them into a tactile, soulful experience…an environment transformed. Every project is different, and getting a firm understanding of a client’s individual tale allows me to weave a design that tells their story. Being heard and helping them make their vision a reality keeps my clients coming back and I absolutely love that! To see people enjoy something you’ve created is such an amazing feeling, and I feel so lucky that I am able to help their spirited essence leap in to tangible reality, encouraging their brand to flourish, fly, FLO!
